A Fourteen-Year-Old Adult

Inspired by a distant relationship with my parents and their frozen view of me as a teenager, I created a staged photography series exploring familial love. These carefully composed "selfies" use a shutter release to craft moments that appear documentary but reveal my desire to prove independence while wishing my parents could witness them. Through these images, I express a longing for connection—for them to engage, call my name, and share meaningful dialogue—hoping to move beyond our frozen past and rebuild our bond.
